👋 Hi, I'm Cody Bryan

Trauma Therapist & Fellow Human

I specialize in working with creatives, high-achievers, neurodivergent folks, and anyone who has experienced trauma. I know what it’s like to carry invisible wounds, and I bring a gentle, focused, and non-judgmental approach to every session.

FAQs

  • Great question. I believe that anything less than nurturing “can” carry the capacity to become traumatic.

Trauma isn’t defined only by the event. It’s defined by the impact. Trauma can be a single moment, a long season, or years of carrying more than you were ever meant to hold. If something still affects how you think, feel, or show up today, it matters.

  • No. You don’t have to retell every detail. Or any detail for that matter. SFBT lets us focus on the present and the future without forcing you to re-live what happened. You share only what feels safe and helpful.

  • I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). It’s gentle, respectful, and doesn’t require you to dig into painful memories to heal. We focus on your strengths, your resilience, and the ways you’ve already survived. Most clients see me for 3–5 sessions.

  • No. You set the pace. If something feels too raw, we don’t go there. Your nervous system leads the way, and we build safety around what you can handle.

  • Yes. Trauma can show up as worry, low mood, irritability, people-pleasing, numbness, or feeling disconnected from yourself. When we address the underlying patterns, those symptoms often soften.

  • There is no hierarchy of pain. Your experience is valid. Many high-achievers minimize their own trauma for years because they learned to cope by over-functioning. Therapy helps you stop carrying it alone.

  • It looks like building safety, clarity, and capacity. We explore what grounds you, what strengthens you, and what helps you feel more like yourself again. We focus on small steps that create real change.

  • Yes. Therapy is online for Arkansas residents. Being in your own comfortable space often makes trauma work feel safer and less overwhelming.

  • That’s okay. I won’t rush you. We slow down, ground together, and reconnect at your pace. You don’t have to perform or impress. This is a space where nothing about your reaction is “too much.”

  • Schedule a free 15-minute intro call. We’ll talk about what you’ve been carrying, what you hope to feel instead, and whether I’m the right therapist to walk with you.
